Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Guaq AI Private Limited (doing business as Employed by Guaq AI, "we", "us") collects when you use jobs.guaqai.me (the "Service"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions about this policy go to privacy@guaqai.me.

1. What the Service does

The Service collects job postings from company career pages and shows you the ones you are eligible to apply for, based on the profile you give us. You can save and track applications, set up job alerts, and upgrade to a paid plan.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your email address and name, when you create an account.
• Profile details: the eligibility, role, location, experience and visa information you enter during onboarding.
• Resumes: if you upload a resume, we read its text to fill in your profile. The file itself is processed to extract that text.
• Job activity: the jobs you save, the applications you track, and the alerts you turn on.
• Messages: anything you send to support.

Information from Google, if you sign in with Google

If you sign in with a Google account, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google contacts, mail, calendar, files or any other Google data, and we do not request those permissions.

Information collected automatically

• Usage analytics: which pages and features you use, collected through PostHog.
• Error reports: technical details about errors you encounter, collected through Sentry. These can include the page address and your browser type.
• Country: the country your connection comes from, provided by Cloudflare, so we can show prices in your local currency. We use it for display only. The price you pay is set by the billing country of your payment method.
• Local storage and cookies: your theme and language preferences, and the sign-in session that keeps you signed in.
• Email delivery events: whether an email we sent was delivered, bounced or marked as spam, received from Resend. For addresses that bounce or complain, we store a one-way hash of the address rather than the address itself, so we can stop sending to it.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We never see or store your card number. We receive your subscription status, plan, and a customer identifier from Dodo Payments, and the amounts and dates of your payments.

2a. Optional payout details

If you refer a friend and want to be paid for it, you can add payout details: a UPI ID if you are in India, or a PayPal email or bank details elsewhere. This is entirely optional. We use these details only to send referral payments, and we keep them only while you want us to. You can remove them at any time from your profile, and we delete them when you do.

2b. Your choices to delete

You can delete any of your optional information at any time from your profile, including payout details, your resume text and your saved preferences. You can also delete all of your data, or delete your account altogether. Deleting your account removes your profile and your personal information from our systems, except for payment records and other records the law requires us to keep. Those are kept only as long as the law requires.

3. How we use your information

• To create and run your account, and to show you the jobs you are eligible for.
• To send the job alerts and account emails you have asked for.
• To process payments, apply your plan, and keep the payment records that tax law requires.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix errors.
• To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information to show third-party advertising.

4. How Google user data is used

Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use information received from Google only to sign you in and to create and maintain your account. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not transfer it to anyone except to provide the sign-in service itself or as required by law.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that run the Service for us, and only as far as they need it:

• Clerk, for sign-in and account management.
• Dodo Payments, for payments and subscriptions.
• Resend, for sending emails.
• PostHog, for usage analytics.
• Sentry, for error reports.
• Cloudflare, for hosting, security and the country detection described above.
• Google Tag Manager, which loads on our pages and can load further tags.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our users, the Service or others from harm.

6. How long we keep information

We keep your account and profile information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete it, except for payment records and other records that the law requires us to keep, which we keep for as long as the law requires. Email addresses that have bounced or complained are kept as one-way hashes so that we can continue to honour the suppression.

7. Your choices and rights

You can see, correct and update your profile in the Service. You can turn off job alerts at any time. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@guaqai.me. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we will respond to requests that are made under them.

8. Security

We send all traffic to the Service over HTTPS. Access to personal information inside our systems is limited to the people who need it to run the Service. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact privacy@guaqai.me and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the Service before it takes effect.
